Upon arrival into Vancouver International Airport, transfer by taxi (included) to Vancouver's Pacific Central Station and board VIA Rail's 'Canadian' for your journey to Jasper. This experience, with its award-winning service, is luxury on rail. Points of interest include Hell's Gate (gorge), Suicide Rapids in the North Thompson Canyon, and the Cisco Tunnels above the Fraser River. Please note that dinner is not included onboard the train this evening. Overnight onboard VIA Rail. Meet your Brewster Vacations Representative at the VIA Rail check-in area in the train station.

Day 3, Jasper to Banff (L)
Today's journey travels south along the famous Icefields Parkway, one of the most spectacular highways in North America. This excursion to Banff also takes you through Jasper and Banff National Parks with stops at the newly opened Glacier Skywalk and the Columbia Icefield. The Glacier Skywalk is Jasper National Parks' newest attraction (admission included). Winner of the 2011 World Architecture Future Projects award, the Glacier Skywalk consists of a 400 metre interpretive boardwalk and a glass-floored observation platform extending 30 metres out over the Sunwapta Valley. The walkway contains interpretive stations highlighting the ecology, geology, glaciology, Aboriginal history and social history of the area. Only a few minutes down the road at the Columbia Icefield, board a Brewster Ice Explorer and travel onto the icy slopes of the Athabasca Glacier. This excursion allows you to travel in a specially designed Brewster Ice Explorer to the middle of the glacier while the driver/guide explains how the glaciers are formed and points out interesting geological features (Ice Explorer included). The ice is 365 metres (1,200 feet) thick - about the height of the Empire State Building. At the icefall below the glacial headwall, take the option of stepping out onto the ice formed from snow that fell 400 years ago. After your unique ice adventure, time is allowed at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre, to relax over lunch (included) and visit the new and expanded Parks Canada Interpretive Centre. In the afternoon, continue to Lake Louise, the 'Jewel of the Rockies.' After a short picture stop, arrive into Banff for the evening.
Overnight in Banff

Day 4, Banff
This half day excursion tours through the town of Banff and its environs. Take a ride on a gondola car (included) to the peak of Sulphur Mountain for a 360 degree view of the Banff Town site and the Bow Valley. Visit Bow Falls before ascending Tunnel Mountain Drive to view Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos, overlooking the Bow River. Continue to Lake Minnewanka, the largest lake in Banff National Park. At Lake Minnewanka enjoy an hour long cruise (included) beneath the jagged peaks of Mount Aylmer and Mount Inglismaldie to the Devils Gap. Big horn sheep, deer and eagles are often spotted at the water's edge. Return to Banff via Minnewanka Loop with a stop at Two Jack Lake. The remainder of your day is free to explore on your own or wander through Banff's boutiques, cafes and museums.
Overnight in Banff

Day 5, Banff to Sun Peaks (L)
Depart Banff and head west past Lake Louise and into the province of British Columbia as the highway ascends through the spectacular untouched wilderness of Rogers's Pass. Stop for lunch in the alpine town of Revelstoke. After lunch, continue on your journey. The landscape transitions from rugged peaks to forested hills and expansive lakes. Continue through the desert-like hills surrounding Kamloops, as the road climbs through the Shuswap Highlands into the mountain region of Sun Peaks.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure in the quaint mountain village of Sun Peaks. Choose from several cafes in the village for dinner and refreshments. Enjoy an evening stroll and keep your eye out for wildlife photo opportunities. Sun Peaks residents share this beautiful mountain village with many furry friends.
Overnight in Sun Peaks

Day 6, Sun Peaks to Vancouver (L)
Continue your journey toward Vancouver passing from forested mountains to the dramatic desert scenery of British Columbia's cowboy country. Follow the Thompson River Valley through Spences Bridge, a small town established during the Cariboo Gold rush of the 1850's. Continue south toward Hell's Gate and the spectacular Fraser Canyon. Lunch and a tram ride at Hell's Gate offers a chance to witness the power of water as it churns and pushes through the narrow Hell's Gate gorge. Following lunch, wind along the mighty Fraser River through lush pastoral valleys, passing into the urban centres of Abbotsford, Langley, and Surrey. Conclude in the coastal city of Vancouver surrounded by spectacular ocean views and the impressive peaks of the Coast Mountains. Arrive into Vancouver in the afternoon. Included is a taxi transfer from downtown Vancouver to your hotel located in Richmond.
