[VANCOUVER]   [ALASKA INTERIOR TOUR]

Cruise: Day 1 - Inside Passage
Enjoy views of land close by on both sides of the ship

After embarkation in Vancouver, your first full day aboard will be cruising the inside passage. This is the perfect time to get acquainted with the ship, your luxurious floating resort .

Cruise: Day 2 - Ketchikan
Sightseeing Tour to Totem Bight Park included!

This amazing little town is only a few block wide, squeezed between the water and a mountain. Notice how the building on Creek Street extend out over the stream on both sides. Your tour will take you to visit Totem Bight Park where (after a short walk through the rain forest) you will see an amazing collection of Totem Poles and a replica of an Indian Clan House. Guides will detail the history and explain the culture. Discover Alaska makes sure you experience the real Alaska. But, you will have plenty of time for additional optional tours such as sport fishing, flightseeing, wildlife tours, even a zipline adventure.

Cruise: Day 3 - Icy Strait Point
Enjoy a huge selection of optional tours

Located near the city of Hoonah, it is the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska. This is the only port at which you will go ashore aboard smaller tender boats as there is no pier large enough to accommodate cruise ships. Home to a historic cannery, the port's connection to the sea is strong. Locals share the sea with humpback whales, orcas, Dall porpoises, seals, sea otters, halibut and all five species of Pacific salmon. It is not uncommon to spot a humpback or an orca while walking along the shore. You will find a huge selection of optional tours available here.

Cruise: Day 4 - Juneau
Sightseeing Tour to Mendenhall Glacier included!

Today’s included guided tour takes you through Juneau’s picturesque downtown and past the Capitol building on the way out of town. View the mighty Mendenhall Glacier, a river of ice with rugged crevasses and a distinctive blue color, which appears deceptively close because of its immense size. At the U.S. Forest Service Visitor Center, take in the glaciology exhibits or listen to an interpretive talk by a Forest Service Ranger. A short walk along a nature trail brings you to within one mile of the face of the glacier for an excellent photo opportunity. Next we visit Juneau’s Macaulay Salmon Hatchery.

Cruise: Day 5 - Skagway
The exciting Gold Rush town - sightseeing included

Your Discover Alaska tour will give you the history and layout of this amazing "step back into history" with plenty of time for other optional tours, shopping, or a cold one at the historic saloon.

Cruise: Day 6 - Hubbard Glacier
An amazing close-up encounter of the biggest Glacier

You'll want to be on deck with camera and binoculars while cruising Hubbard Glacier. Remember to wear layers as your proximity to all this ice will be much cooler than the other ports of call. Be sure to watch for the excitement of calving where a huge chunk breaks off to form ice bergs.

Cruise: Day 7 - Seward
Sightseeing Tour & Scenic Transfer to Anchorage

This is the beginning of Discover Alaska's customized 5 day, 4 night Alaskan Interior Land Tour.
